Up to 80% of the pastors in sub-Saharan Africa and in other parts of the world have had no formal pastoral training. The Timothy Institute training program is a four-part program to meet their needs:

This four-part curriculum has been developed and field-tested in East Africa and West Africa over the past seven years, beginning in l998.

The program is designed to be taught in a series of workshops over at least three years. Each manual includes Biblical teaching, practical lessons on how to develop this ministry, and an action plan for how each pastor will use this teaching back home.
